fineout
Hey everyone, as many people ive talked to in chat know, ive been talking about how im going to school in Germany this semester for the past forever. Well, the day has finally come and tomarrow is my flight out. I'm really kinda starting to freak out, I have no clue what to expect and I honestly dont trust my german skills enough so this ought to be interesting. I probably wont be able to be on much for the first few weeks so just wanted to say bye and what not. So if anyone has any advice for moving to a foreign country id appreciate it. Wish me luck! Giant Ninja Robot
good luck bro, that's really exciting! You'll be fine, it only takes a couple weeks to acclimate to a new country and culture, and the language will come to you soon enough. I really hope you enjoy yourself, a large chunk of my ancestry is German and I am envious of ya do update us when you get the chance!

ryno
I wouldn't worry about the lack of German. I remember my German teacher telling me in high school alot of the people over there understand and/or speak English.Good luck over there man, I've been wanting to go there for a long time now. Amn_sinclair
where in germany are u gonna be? Im down in kaiserslautern right now. Getting hookah stuff isnt that bad here u should be able to get urself a cheapo while ur over here and it should last. Everyone says the shisha is dry here but lately when i get shisha its just about as wet as my tangiers is. Most everyone knows english here to so if u cant figure something out if u ask them in english they should be able to help u. germans really like it when u try speaking german at least. Then theyll talk to u in english and their a lot more friendly
Tyler
Get use to the money system and be able to correlate it to something you're used to until you can think about value in terms of euros. You'll get ripped off less over there. Also make good friends with a local grocery store clerk as they can usually get things you miss from the states if you can't find them in Germany. Try to frequest the same shops/stores/cafes to have familiar places to go.
