Chreees Posted September 15, 2009 Share Posted September 15, 2009 Just sat down for a good smoke before school. I'm fairly new to hookah, been smoking since the beginning of summer. Been on here for a little while. Anyway, out of the three brands of shisha I have- Hookah-Hookah, Rammon, and Al Fakher, Al Fakher is hands down the best. You just can't go wrong with it. Hookah-Hookah tastes like candy, Rammon is good flavor but lacks the big clouds, and Al Fakher has amazing taste and big clouds. I only get a really good buzz with AF. The best buzz, in fact. The hookah lounge next door to my apt gave me some Starbuzz guava to try (he wanted me to come back and pay $20 for a bowl of Starbuzz, I'm like aw hell naw, lol). I'm smoking AF two apple right now and I almost threw the shit away when I opened it, 'cause it smelled like straight licorice, and I hate licorice. gunsboy Posted September 15, 2009 Share Posted September 15, 2009 AF FTWI rarely smoke any other brand. I tried AlNakhla (also Mizo), StarBuzz, Tangiers (please do not kill me) and many many others. I think that AF is the best. I have one problem with them. It is consistency. Most orders just smell taste and look like heaven, few are not so good and look like tobacco soaked with colors. Right now I have strawberry (my fav), vanilla, melon, two apple, grape, watermelon, and lemon. I have in Rammon chocolate strawberry and blueberry that came with my QT. They are both pretty good. Chreees Posted September 15, 2009 Author Share Posted September 15, 2009 What I've found from the few I have tried, is that some of the little mini-tubs has barely any shisha in it, which means no, it won't fill a standard bowl (which I use) all the way, and then sometimes the little tub will have too much shisha in it, so you have to overpack the bowl or just throw the extra away. I tried ordering it on my last order, but the vendor was out and substituted a different flavor I personally have not had luck with AF. I have only bought one 250 tub of it and got a 50g sampler with my hookah. The sampler was honey, taste like shit, the 250 was berry, which taste ok, not that great, couldn't get it to smoke worth a shit most of the time, and now it smells rancid. I will not be loading it in my bowl again. Even though it is probably shit, I am probably going to ship it out to someone for the hell of it. I'm sticking to my Layalina and more recently, tangiers. I smoke it almost exclusively but when I want to splurge a little I'll buy some Starbuzz. AF Honey isn't very good, I didnt like it either but all of their other flavors are great, yeah including grape. Orange and vanilla is my favorite mix. It tastes like that Zebra gum. It was a while back in my friend mini hookah with like a 15g bowl. The flavor was all there and smokes was pretty damn good, especially out of the mini. Tangiers lucid is 17 bucks per 250. In college, that extra 5-7 bucks really counts, especially when ordering a kilo at a time. Sure, tangiers is totally worth it, I'm just saying that extra 5-7 bucks could really help elsewhere. Some of the flavors are too artificial for me and some flavors just aren't strong enough. I love AF Rose and their Golden rose. Haven't found any other AF's I can't live without though, if that tells you anything. But, then, I'm not a huge fan of fruit flavors.
