Can I ask why people get offended when some makes a post expressing what is there favorite shisha other then Tangiers? It's getting real old real fast and quite frankly just tired of hearing peoples bitching because they don't like hearing some one else opinion on why.

well you know when people like something so much they feel offended...like oh my favorite tobacco isnt good enough for you so you think your better then me..lol im the same way tangiers is good but its not the end all be all..theres alot of other good brands out there and cheaper..if anyone gets angry cause you dont like what they like forget them man..lol were not sheep we dont have to follow the crowd..lol

Understandable, but who said anything about Tangiers being Hippo, Mattarios, or my favorite shisha?

I do get offended when people hate for all the wrong reasons though. On HJ, OG is only 2.50 more and lucid is 4.00 more.

But I'm not going to tell anyone they're wrong for smoking AF if they do like it.

Damn, looks like I'll have to try Tangiers sometime... I'm just scared I won't get it right, because I see a lot of people on here have trouble doing it right... So, tell me how to do it right and I might try it next time I need to order shisha!

I personally haven't had a bad batch of AF but I'm sure there will be one or two every now and then but the same goes for every brand. I smoke tangiers layalina and AF exclusively not a big nakhla fan

i'm relatively new to hookah, but so far, i have found starbuzz and nakhla to be my two favorites.. their flavors seem to be what i expect the most consistantly. i will also admit that since i am a n00bmuffin, i have yet to try tangiers out of fear of not acclimating it right or mucking it up somehow... i smoke to relax and having to worry about how you condition your shisha would take a big chunk of my relaxation away so i have chosen to wait till i have more experience with the easier to deal with brands before i make that jump. to those that say tangiers or bust, no offence but its all about what makes you happy.. if you enjoy the crappy under/overfilled shots and thats what makes a good smoking experience for you than, imho, by all means thats what you should smoke... this isnt a popularity contest or a high school twink group where you have to smoke (wear) a certain thing to be a "good" smoker.

i don't know if people actually get offended when someone says they like a different brand of tobacco. now, i don't know some people are very adamant about their opinions with HH and HF tobacco. i'm not a fan of SB, but i'm not going to knock on a person for liking it. i will be quick to point out that there are other comparable tobaccos for a lesser price. but, hey...if SB is your thing (or even HH or HF)...then more power to you.

however, if someone tries to argue that a certain brand is better than nakhla or tangiers...then i would gladly have a discussion with them...you never know....maybe they see something i don't.

I'd argue Layalina is better then Nak =P. But any brand better than Tangiers (Lucid is what I smoke) = myth

I like AF as an occasional smoke. I have 250g of Mint. Some of the flavors I have tried have been to sweet for me like Berries. Everyone has there tastes.

I'd suggest Nakhla if you are going for a buzz. Nak is still my favorite brand, even after trying many others. AF is really good too. I love AF orange. Romman is good, but with Nakhla and AF being cheaper and better, I don't order it often. Tangiers, for me, is touch and go. When it's bad, it's horrible, but when it's on, it's amazing. I am envious of those who get to smoke it right every time. Actually, I just ordered some Lucid, so hopefully that will solve that issue. Starbuzz is fine, but once again, with the traditional flavors being way cheaper, I haven't bought a can in over a year.

i think nak is a great shisha for any hookah smoker because its cheap, has some really outstandings flavors n is easy to smoke for beginners because it can take a shit load of heat n not burn. which leaves room for error for inexperienced smokers who havent dialed in the art of heat managment. really i agree with everyone who says its up tp what you prefer

Ontopic. I've never had a reallly bad flavor from AF, its just that with this brand some flavors are consistenly bad (thats just how they're made) eg. Melon. and other flavours are so-so , its almost like you've got to be in the mood to enjoy that flavor.

If you just want some consistently good flavor, and have a phunnel bowl, Layalina all the way.
But if you want the best, but you've got to work at heat management, then I'd go Tangiers, because when it does come off just right... wow. Edited September 17, 2009 by arzan87

actually, the OP posed the question "How many of you agree you can't go wrong with AF?"...which, i believe opens it to both positive and negative discussion.

for instance, i do believe AF is a great alternative to SB...roughly the same quality at half the price. however, if buzz is not an issue...there are some tobaccos that would be a better choice, imo.

so, yeah...if you're looking for a good buzz free smoke...definitely can't go wrong with AF.

As for the AF........yeah its good but deffinately not the best. Also if your scared of not being able to get the tangiers right then just buy lucid. Of course, AF is the brand that introduced me to Shisha, so I'm partial to it. Like all brands though, it's got flavors I think are duds. Of course, I've seen the same flavors get 10/10 rating on our review board, so it's all smokers taste I guess.
