Waiting For My New Hookah To Arrive....

Well my first ever hookah is in a UPS truck in transit somewhere in the Ogden, UT area right now and I am patiently waiting it's arrival. Ok, so the waiting game is a bitch and I want to hear a knock on my door now. I plan on having my first session whenever it gets here. I've never set one of these things up or packed a bowl. I've watched instructional Youtube videos, read hundreds of posts here but if anyone has any first timer tips to help me on my way I'd greatly appreciate it! I'll be using Al Fakher shisha and Exotica coals. As for the type of hookah, that will be a surprise since they upgraded me due to my original order was out of stock. I'm really hoping UPS doesn't screw up and not get me my package! I'll try and post pics once I get the thing.

If you've done your homework, only thing I can tell you is don't get discouraged by a bad bowl. It will take some time to get everything right. If it seems like nothing is working, post about it and we'll try to help. Don't be afraid to experiment with different amounts of heat and bowl packing techniques. Also, we want some pics of it when it comes in.

Make sure the site actually upgraded you...I know someone awhile back ordered a hookah from a certain vendor (can't remember which one) and they didn't have the hookah in stock, so they decided to "upgrade" the hookah by sending the correct vase and a stem that didn't fit, or vice versa, can't remember. I also don't think it was as nice as the one the person ordered either, if I remember correctly.
