Quick Question

I'm going to light up a bowl as soon as possible, most likely when I get a answer. What is the difference with a Tangiers Phunnel if I don't poke a hole through the middle? I usually always put a whole but lately i've been getting charcoal like crazy and want to see if I should try it withou ta hole in the middle and if it makes a difference. Please respond ASAP, Thanks.

I never poke a hole in the middle and it smokes just fine.

I don't ever poke a hole in the middle, the purpose for this is to keep the foil from getting sucked over the hole. if you pack enough in there you don't need to worry about it.

i always poke 4 holes in the middle if i dont i cant pull because of air restriction

I always poke holes in the middle. Like Nights of Baghdad said, those few holes really help with air flow. I've tried not poking holes in the middle and it just doesn't smoke as well for me if I don't.

I've only made holes in the center once...it was when I was using generic foil and it kept plugging the hole in the phunnel...other than that, my hole pattern goes around the center

Just pull the foil tight and ship the center hole.

the only thing i've noticed when i poke holes in the center of the foil using a phunnel is the smoke is less dense. i guess its just because i'm pulling in more air with the smoke....i'd say the same amount of smoke is there, its just less think and "puffy".
