Haros
Hey there,I found a burried cobra hose in my old stuff, checked it and it's got some tiny holes -don't know if they actually affect the hooka's performance haven't tested it- and I want to close them. Is there any walkthrough for that? Thank you.
Tyler
Electrical tape?
Haros
Yeah I tested that but because of the texture of the hose the tape cannot close the holes.
trouts
Duct tape is wider and a lot stickier, would that work?
Tyler
What kind of holes are we talking about? Like big holes or small air leaks?

Cerritus
You can also try a cloth medical tape. It works great.
evlpengwyn
I've used electrical tape to fix small holes in cobra hoses before, you just have to wrap it tight
ProbablyTaken
Baseball bat tape, very flexible yet sticky. Sticks to itself quite well, just wrap it several times around for each hole.
Tyler
if you can spot the leak by putting the outer part of the hose under some shallow water and blowing in the hose, then mark the holes [unless you know where they are] then drop some candle wax on them. Make it 3-4 strips wide just to be more secure.

To me it seems as though the wax would be real real short term and the wax would just get knocked off after a couple uses. Could always hot glue the area and tape over that. That's exactly what I did! It isn't completely shield though, a tiiiinyyyy leakage exists. But I think the air it looses is so minor that it doesn't affect the performance...
