JDHarding
Hey, all! Some of you may have wondered where I disappeared to, since I used to post on this forum constantly. Well, I decided to quit hookah for a while. I was heavily addicted to it. It got to be a 5 time a day habit, and I was going through lots of shisha and money. Purchasing coals every 2 weeks, like 4 250g packs of shisha every month. It was crazy. It was as bad as a cigarette addiction. So I gave it up for several months. But I recently decided to smoke a little bit, and what I had left of my shisha was some kind of fruity I didn't like. So I'm curious if there's any non-fruity, non-minty flavors out there you guys recommend. Fruity, the smell and taste of it, really makes me physically sick to my stomach. I need a more robust type flavor. Like coffee without the cream and sugar, or a nice strong beer. Something manly.
mattarios2
nakhla coffee is seriously explosive and it is coffee with no sugar or cream just like you described. Not sweet at all.Same goes for cappucino.

JDHarding
Hehe.. I didn't exactly mean coffee flavored.. I mean stuff that's robust like black coffee. And I can't stand cinnamon flavored anything. Candy, rolls, etc.I thought about vanilla, earl grey, etc. I dunno how sweet vanilla is, though. Too sweet and I might not like it. I like cigar flavor, but I also like a cigar with a nice sweet wrapper that I can suck on. That I want to bite into and eat. Heh. Hippo_Master
Seven Spice, Horchata, Kashmir (if you can find it)Ohh and everyone who is saying cardamom, that's a pretty minty spice. Even though it's in the same family as ginger I believe. It tastes like ginger ale and menthol (not mint). Toxik916
AF Bahrani Apple isnt that sweet and has alot of anise. mix it with AF Vanilla and Chocolate for a very complex flavor that isnt overwhelmingly sweet.
Genie
Nakhla Earl Grey will definitely put more hair on your chest. If you smoke it straight, I usually mix it with something.Floral shishas probably don't sound manly, but my husband prefers them to the fruity flavors and so do I. Grenadine isn't too fruity, not the AF anyway. My faves are Jasmine (Nakhla), Rose (AF), Earl Grey (Nak), and Pistachio (Nak). At least they're my favorites this month!Tried some Fantasia Pumpkin Spice and really liked it. It was more spice than pumpkin, sort of nutmeggy, really good--though subtle. HH 7 Spice was okay, a little too subtle but still more spicy than sweet. I liked it.I haven't tried it yet but I've got some Romman "Summer Crisp" that is supposed to be cucumber flavored, I think. Eager to try it.So, yeah, lots of stuff out there that isn't fruity. Thank goodness!

My guess is that it was AF. I didn't like how mild it was and they mixed it with something fruity for me and it was pretty awesome. So I couldn't wait to buy some Nakhla Cardamom to use as a mixer. NASTY! Like smoking pure menthol. I was so disappointed. But what's manlier than a sport's cream flavored shisha?

JDHarding
I ordered some Nakhla Earl Grey and Tangiers OG Sour from John. I got the sour 'cause I remember liking it before. More than any of the other flavors I had at the time. I also liked Tangiers Blue Gumball, even though it can be tricky. Not so much fruity flavored.Fruity flavors I've never liked to smoke are:Apple (or Double Apple) with anise flavor or notCherryWatermelonSweet MelonPeachOrange (or mandarin)I've liked lemon in the past, but only if it's a real sour lemon flavor, not a sweet lemon flavor.Maybe they should start making vegetable flavored shisha? I wouldn't mind smokin some carrot or celery shisha.
