New Exotica Finger Coals.

Recommended Posts

So, As most of you know i've been using exoticas since they came out or damn cclose to it. I've watched them go from so hard you had to use a hack saw to cut them to so soft they were shattering in the box before we even got them.

The new improved exoticas are looking damn good so far. Much denser for longer lasting burn, tight ash (though its grey) and they are scored in 2 places so you can break them easier. I am only on my second box but they seem consistent so far. I can say at this point im quite pleased and can go back to recommending them without qualification. Lets hope this continues to be the case.

This is interesting. I preferred the old Exoticas, the ones that had to be cut with a hacksaw. They were horrible to cut, but they burned forever. The last few boxes have been the ridiculously soft and didn't last long enough for an entire session. This is when I swore them off and went to Cocos. But if they are as good as they used to be, I'd be willing to give them another chance.

Told ya biatches!

jp wink.gif I'm glad that the quality is keeping up Mush, especially with the number of them that you go through I can trust your experience over the small portion that's my own.

I'll take a picture of the boxes I believe are the new ones. Basically on the back they have "Exotica" written in red/white/black rather than the standard cursive black.

Good to hear the quality is getting back up to par. I loved the old exoticas and used them most of the time. It'd be nice to go back to paying like $9 for a box instead of $13-14... Edited by Jeff_T

Wish the market would start carrying Exoticas again. Makes me sad that they dont. But I like the bamboo coals, so I can wait.

Blow Tell carries exoticas still, I would rather use diamonte fingers though because they are cheaper and smoke better IMO.

I'll have a look at them. I could also go to sunshine smoke shop on Auburn. We'll see when I'm done with this box of bamboos. Last time I was at Blow and Tell they had some sort of chinese quicklights and a box of russian easy lites. Not impressive.
