uh. since when have Nakhla and Zag been spoken of as if they were separate brands?

for me i love nak DA mixed with nak Zag. 1:1 ratio. it brings out the flavor of DA so well. kahn el kalili(yea?) and DA and soft black and DA are also all excellent blends.

speaking of.... i need more zag and DA. im out.

the thing with zag and other "black" Nakhla is that they sit on the shelves for long periods of time since a lot of people prefer the fruitier flavors. depending on how new the batch you received was it was probably slightly dried out. i have had only one really good box of zag that had a similar wettness to it as other flavors. however. you arent doing anything wrong if you got one of the oldish batches and not much smoke is produced. i still got great flavor off the drier stuff, its just really bad with clouds.

i'm not sure of the validity of that statement...it would take years or REALLY bad packaging for the glycerin and corn syrup to evaporate to zag or khan dryness...do you have anything to support these claims?

i'm under the impression that glycerin, or at least a signifcantly reduced amount, is added to the more "traditional" nakhla varieties...also, with the lack of flavoring added, it'd lead me to believe that the all the non-flavored varieties of nakhla would be drier than the other varieties... ill have to dig it up but i read it on another forum so ill have to PM you where i read it. there is a review online of Kahn el kalili that has a wetness compared to that of the normal line of nakhla. nothing was added, straight from the box to a plastic baggie and thats what he had.

INCREDIBLE!!! I tried this yesterday but I only sprinkled some Zag on top of Nakhla Peach and WOW, clouds clouds clouds and strong buzz!

Basically Zaghloul makes up for the general weakness of most washed tobacco's. So you can get all the flavor and light smoking you want, but still get a strong buzz when you need it.

I've finally achieved taste + clouds + buzz! Thank you OP!
