Coals Storage.

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone,

I am very curious as to where everyone stores their coals, since I am very paranoid when I keep coals inside the house... somehow I always feel like it might start a fire and burn ahahha so where do everyone put their stash of coals?

I always leave them in the box they came in. And the box stays near my tobacco stash in a cupboard at the end of the kitchen, away from the cooker! Mire are naturals so chance of them combusting but even QL's are safe, they need fire to spark and even if there wasnt any coals around, a fire will still blaze through your house! So worry not!

In the box they came in, and on a desk with the shisha and stuff. I don't know what your worried about, they don't light themselves.

Spontaneous Coal Combustion is one of the top threats of a hookah smokers life. Or so they say.

But seriously as long as you keep your coals in a semi Air tightish thing you should be fine. You can keep them in the open box, open being the keyword, if you use them fast enough so they dont get water loged or something along those lines. Ive seen it happen to HJ instant lights, they started chipping instead of ashing.

Actually, I leave them in the foil they came in (or poly in a lined box (HJ)) and just mash it around the exposed coal. I have up to an honest almost dozen on trial in a 2 drawer metal filing cabinet (top drawer is coals & foils, bottom is spare hoses). Currently it's 48% humidity and I've seen up to 99% in here, so it's not too big a deal smile.gif I also have HJ Nats and some other Nats in here also (Viva Fruity of all things...)
