JDHarding
QUOTE (Webbles @ Sep 22 2009, 11:20 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Pack it JUST LIKE THIS!But dont wear a red sox t-shirt. It will really screw up the bowl I prefer to use the foil to pack it down. Fork packs it down too much. Just pile it up and put the foil on. Might wanna knock it on something to get the stuff in the middle to fall through, otherwise it ends up in your base.
NIGHTS OF BAGHDAD
omg john your not a redsox fan are you? tell me it was laundry day and that belongs to another family member? because i have yankees blood in my veins
mattarios2
boo yankees, heh.If you don't press down with the fork, rather push from the middle of the bowl to the outside, it won't be packed too tightly.
Genie
I picked up 250 grams of Nakhla Arabic Coffee yesterday for $7.95 in hookah lounge, dying to try it. The box is pretty dusty though, makes me nervous. Hope it's been stored well and hasn't gone bad. The vendor insisted that it looked that way because it had been shipped internationally. Apparently there's a time warp between here and wherever that ages stuff? Whatever. And why was it cheaper than his shiny new boxes of Nakhla? He had no answer. All the dusty cheap stuff was on a separate shelf too--the guy was so full of it.Okay, guess I should go set it up and try it!If it's manly enough, I'll let you know! I didn't like it at all and couldn't even finish the second bowl I packed of it. The only other Nakhla that I just flat out couldn't handle was the Nakhla Sherazade Cardamom. Gross. Gave that one away.

I dunno.. I wouldn't want to stick it in a humidor and try it.. or maybe we should? The humidity might kill it, though. Water + Shisha = Bad!But deff tell us how manly it is. Hairy chest manly. I LOVE black coffee. The blacker the better. With a little bit of sugar, just like Earl Gray.

And it was sealed inside an airtight plastic container with a tight fitting rubber/plastic lid thing and inside a baggie on top of that. It's EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!! Smells like very rich coffee, tastes like really great coffee with a bit of sweetness. No creaminess, thank goodness. Hate creamy coffee shishas. I love it! A very masculine shisha by any standards so far as I'm concerned. Will keep this one around.

Giant Ninja Robot
Well, I have to tell you guys I smoked the Caramel/Cinnamon mix and it was win!Caramel mellowed out the cinnamon's intensity and it tasted just like a struesel topping or coffee cake. More akin to AF's cinnamon but with a killer buzz.

FamiliarJoe
QUOTE (Hookie The Hookah @ Sep 22 2009, 12:40 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Seems like we get all the random strong nakhla flavors at middle eastern delis around here.... unfortunately I haven't really liked any of them. On the other hand they're only 5 bucks for 250g so it's not much of an investment. On topic, earl grey literally made me puke. It was all lemony and weird. I wanted to die....Glad im not alone on this one.
mix_tape
I finally got around to trying this.. Its freaking good stuff. Super strong flavor and very close to earl gray tea. I think I'm going to add in some vanilla and some cinnamon next time.

Burn Earl Gray isn't so good..
mattarios2
the drier it is, the tighter you should pack it. If you pack nakhla nice and tight, it is the most tolerant shisha for heat on the market.
ilikemyusername
for any "hard to find" nakhla flavors check with mahir at nazar, he probably has it or can get it for you. Don't be afraid to ask.
