MaxT0
QUOTE (JDHarding @ Sep 22 2009, 04:31 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>I'm curious about humidors. Anybody got a recommended one? Or just get the cheapest box that holds the most? I usually leave the cigars in the bag they come in with those pillow humidifiers, but I think a box would look nicer, especially if it had a built in hydrometer.Heh.. now I'm going waaaaaay out of NHT territory. We need a cigar/pipe tobacco section here too! For those of us that like more than just hookah tobaccy. What'dya say, Mush? A little cigar category? If buying a humidor, get a good one. It should have a tight seal. However, if you don't care about looks and want something that holds a lot but costs little...get a coolerdor. A cooler, some humidity beads, empty cigar boxes, a hygrometer and of course cigars. I have 2 good humidors and a cooler, and find that the cooler holds humidty much better and for a longer time (before the beads need to be recharged). I knew there was something wrong about 5 cans of butane for $3.. it must be smelly gas.. ya if you really wana enjoy your cigar you need clean fluid..lol or else the cigar will take on the flavor of the butane and ruin it..but like i said its a huge can it will last you atleast 2-3 months even if you smoke 2-3 cigars a day..i myself have 4 cans i keep for myself..lolJust scored a couple cans on ebay for $15. Though with shipping, it costs about the same as 2 on amazon.com. Pff.

I'm not sure if those prices are for single cigs, or boxes. If they're for whole boxes, then those can't be very good. A good cigar is usually $10 or more each.Does this count as an NIH reference? I'm not sure..that is so not true, its not always the price but its the quality at which the cigar is made, i no joke have had 3 dollar sticks that were better than 30 dollar sticks

Scoop
i bought a humidor off ebay but it was never able to hold humidity right. (long time ago). ive heard alot of ebay humidors use fake cedar or dont properly shut. my gf bought me a promethus lighter (it was like 70 bucks), i ended up using it for starting charcoal. i used colibri butane for cigars but the lighter busted after half a year. i was pretty sadi bought my friend a really nice humidor off CI (similar to this, but it was a limited edition design http://www.cigarsinternational.com/prodDis...t=10&page=5 ). hes had nothing but good things to say about it.i was really into cigars for a while but i haven't touched them for a while. i pretty much only smoke when my parents bring in cubans for me. Dr. B
This thread has got me thinking about DIY humidors. I don't mean shitty crust-punk DIY, I mean building myself a legit humidor. I know this isn't the place to ask questions, but thanks for the inspiration. If I ever get around to it I'll let yall know.So... how are John's cigars? I'm considering tacking one or two on top my next purchase from him. It'd be nice to see a review but if nothing comes around by the time I order, I'll share my thoughts. JDHarding
Got my cigars! Woot! They threw in some free little cigarittos.. or whatever they're called.. cigarette sized cigars from Holland. Cream something.. garbage. My first one I tried was the Rocky Patel Honduran Classic.. mmmm.. so good.. sadly, I had to light it with a fuel lighter. Bleh.. my gas isn't in yet. I couldn't finish the whole thing, so I clipped the end off and saved the rest. I need my humidor. The guy said it shipped out today.. bastage. JDHarding
Actually, the ones I had before weren't good, they were "regular" Cafe Cremes. So I opened the Cafe Creme Blues.. MUCH better. However, they burn so stinkin fast! How can I make these slow burn? They burn faster than cigarettes! I can't take my time to enjoy them.
