Had It With Af Golden Esk!

It is normal for the bottom of cocos to become dark. If you want that to happen less, where you place the coal, put more holes there so the coal has more room to breath. I poke holes all the way through the bowl with a toothpick and my cocos barely get dark on the bottom, ever. If I use small holes (when I have experimented) the cocos got dark within a few minutes.

perfect, im starting to think my whole problem is just not poking big enough or enough holes. Although my hole pattern works fine with nak

you said "pack it high enough where the foil doesn't cover the hole" so is that meaning that you have a phunnel where the center is exactly level or higher than the outside walls? They are handmade so it might be possible. I'm just curious if that's what you're meaning.
