Giant Ninja Robot
John (of HJ) mentioned in this thread http://www.hookahforum.com/?showtopic=33348&st=20 that MZ MAY be going out of business....This sucks as though I don't own one I know there are lot's of fans out there (Mechant ) and that they are a reliable manufacturer that's fairly inexpensive (at least compared to KMs new prices). What gives? Anyone know details of what's up?
ih303
I've heard these guys are going out of business as well. It's a shame because 1) MZ was one of the "Big Three" hookah companies including MYA and KM, and 2) I don't have one yet. Perhaps Tamseh is swooping in to take MZ's place. NIGHTS OF BAGHDAD
theres a few places online that still sell mz hookahs from $50-$
Giant Ninja Robot
yeah they still have em for now untill stock depletes then John said they might stop making and importing them altogether.I guess that means if you've always had youreye on a certain MZ you should buy one soonish... MechAnt
Yea i remember reading about this a while back This is very sad news and I hope it turns out to be not true. Having a lower priced brand but still solid is something that should definitely still be around.

I was planning on ordering one from him a few weeks ago and he ran out the day I was going to order. It had the hookah in my basket the night before, slept on it to make sure I wanted it, went to click "place order" the next day and got a message that it was out of stock FML I'd like to pick one of these up but don't know where. Stuie
Hope it's not true. I need to grab me a decent one before they are gone. Something bigger than my safari!
mushrat
or it could be a rumor to boost sales... It would be a shame though, I have an old Hookah Brother's Hookah, that was what MZ was before it was MZ.

Click
Sucks. Less competition then so that gives KM room to only raise their prices higher.
Scoop
i really dont think km prices in egypt have been raised. its just buyers and distributors. i dont even think mz competes with km really. especially now that no mz costs half as much as the new kms...i dont really think temsah competes either. the inner tubes have visible weld marks and fusing inside. looks cheap to me
JDHarding
Hopefully I can get my hands on one of their big pipes before they all disappear.. maybe these will be collector's items now?Though that could jack the price up on them once they become rare. Giant Ninja Robot
Personally, if we're now talking about what MZ pipes we'd like, I would love to get a black double pear and a perpetual river.

Sonthert
The industry rumor mill says that MZ is making tea sets and services. MZ Hookahs are gone. If you want one, buy it now. Thamseh will swoop into the market with their current quality when U.S. Navy Seals begin using wheelbarrows to deploy personnel. They are using recycled KM tubes that are too short and are discarded, putting them together to make a full-length tube. About 50% of their shanks are fuse jobs. Bad news about Al Nawra. Its been confirmed by a return I had and foibled again than Nawra is using two piece vents. Foibled again also said the hose port was a two piece. Bummer. They still seem durable...but its disappointing.
