Quick Hose Question

Recommended Posts

We're using AF Healthy Hoses now, which are great because they're cheap and easy to clean, but let's face it - they look like crap. A lot of people get really turned off by it.

What kind of hoses have you seen used in lounges?

I think you shold stick with those AF healthy hoses. And offer your regular customers a chance to buy and leave a razzan/ nammor hose there at the bar.Kinda like people have there own beer/coffee mugs at some bars/resturants.

Put a cool name tag on them and hang them on the wall of hookah masters. Then before/after each use give'em a quik clean and ready to go. Edited by twoapplesplease

the place by my house uses km ultimates.

Same. The bar in Seattle we used to go to used KM hoses. They felt and looked like my Ultimates, but were older. Not the bright colors of the ones available now.

They also has the standard KM hoses with the crossed leather decoration down the handles.

I have no problems with the healthy hose other than the fact that it does look a bit cheap. A lot of people only care about appearance. I can go down the list of why the Healthy Hose is such a great hose, but all they see is that it's made from cheap plastic that whistles when you blow in it.

The problem we're having is with a good method of washing 50+ hoses every night. We're using the red, green, pink, and brown colors of hose tips exclusively with fruity, minty, floraly, and non-fruiy (i.e. chocolate, latte, etc.) respectively. But we still have crazy ghosting.

Anyone found a quick and easy way to clean large quantities of washables hoses?

Large Washing sink like the 3 Compartment sinks in restaurants. 1 Compartment HOT HOT WATER and DAWN, 2nd HOT HOT WATER, Then let them hang and dry out over night.

Lol... I was thinking the same thing. Man-made vs. what? Natural? Perhaps some places use sheep intestines or elephant trunks or something. Maybe Bamboo shoots. tongue.gif

We've tried soaking the hoses in a bucket. The problem we've encountered is it's hard to get all the hoses filled with water. We've tossed around the idea of building some sort of contraption out of a hose and pvc pipe with a bunch of holes drilled in it to seat several hoses at once to run water through them. I just wish there was an easier way.
