2 Hose Qt That Auto Seals

alright so im just throwing ideas around on how to go about making my qt a 2 hose(already accomplished) and making it auto seal. If i were to put a ball bearing in the bottom of the hose hook ups would that work? i already put the bb's in and have made all the attachments just havent smoked out of it yet, i know i can purge with the bb's there but so far ive found that i can inhale just fine without the bb falling into the base or going up the house. This should work for sealing the hose not being inhaled right?

Maybe I'm missing something here, but if you want to use your QT as a double hose with the autoseal function, you have to have actual autoseal hose ports. They're like the regular hose ports except they have a screw about 1cm above the threads that keeps the bearing from falling out. If you don't have that screw, the bearing will just come off in your mouth when you pull. If you don't have those autoseal ports, you can just use regular ports and plug one hose everytime you pull out of the other.

I've got the two-hose QT (bought it that way from Hookah-Shisha.com). It came with two auto-seal hose ports, one regular hose port, and of course the purge valve. When smoking solo, I use the regular open valve with no bearing and the purge valve. When smoking using both hoses I use both auto-seal ports, so there's a bearing on each hose. IMO, the auto-seal ports suck. It not only limits your pull but the damn bearings get stuck all the time, and it's next REALLY hard to try pulling after your friend has already started- because he's pulling your bearing down while you're trying to pull it the other way. I think it's better to just take the ball bearings out (or use regular ports) and just plug the hose ends when you're not smoking- something I'm used to doing at lounges anyway. Just make sure your friend/girlfriend's not an idiot and can't ever keep their damn thumb on it, like this one guy I know.
