Increasing Amount Of Smoke

Recommended Posts

I've watched Codename's vids thousands of times, but I can never get that amount of smoke. My choice of weapons are small phunnel, solid brass hookah from egypt (it's 15 years old!!!), tangiers, cocos and CH natural coals, and nammor hose.

I've tried over packing with tangiers with numerous amounts of holes, under packing, using 1 row of holes, etc. I can get thick smoke, but still the standard sized basketball amount of smoke.

Could it be that I need a bigger bowl to hold more shisha thus having more air to go through it? The air to shisha ratio could be impossible for me to attain with a small phunnel, but I've seen Codename use small phunnels and still obtain smoke grenade sized clouds.

Any knowledge or wisdom would be appreciated.

Dan

the key to clouds is learn how to pack a bowl right and proper heat management. Adding glycerin and a ton of coals will give you clouds but will result in harsh tasteless smoke.

amen, codename just ahs his stuff down pat, her truly is a master lol. also everything is different for everyone, i pack differnt from you and you pack different that another person, find what works for you and perfect it.

Once you start packing the phunnel correctly you will get these godly clouds. I still pack my phunnel wrong and I get bad clouds time to time. Also a good hose Narbish or Nammor would make a huge difference.

ADD MORE COALS!!... It will taste like crap but you will get super atomic sized fog horn clouds..

Many guys do this on their youtube vids wink.gif

Negatory. Adding coals for me increases thickness of clouds, not the amount of clouds.

If this is your problem... You need to grow bigger lungs.. If the smoke is thick and the volume is small the problem is the amount of air your pulling through the pipe..

I hate phunnels, could be because I couldn't get them to work.. or just because they were harder to change shisha after each session. I prefer the good ol normal bowl.

IMHO

How on God's earth can a phunnel bowl be harder to change than a regular bowl?! IMHO, the phunnel is ten times easier to change than a regular bowl.

Didn't mean to start anything. Just wondering how it can be easier to change out, with the holes and whatnot...

I definitely won't be saying anything ban-worthy. smile.gif

If you aren't already, try poking holes through the foil all the way through the shisha to the bottom of the bowl. Try using a lot of holes, not just one row.

So I went ahead and tried this. Indeed this allows for better airflow.

But the best part was I put two cocos side by side, instead of across from each other, and got super uber clouds without harsh penalty. Flavor was down a bit, but I could still make out the horchata.

I mean, I thought the clouds would never end. Can't wait to try more packing methods.
