Red_Pyramid
This past sunday, I had the misfortune of breaking my bowl. My boyfriend has tried telling me he can have a friend make a really cool glass bowl. Now, I'm really skeptical of glass being used as material in hookah bowls because I had some bad expirience with glass cookwear and heat. So are glass bowls okay? Tyler
I've had my Santino glass crown bowl for a few months and have had zero issues with it. Just make sure they use the correct type of glass. I'm sure Poncho or Santino can be more informative about this than anyone else.

RingsMaster
glass is fine, my roomate had a small MNHOOKAH glass phunnel and it smoked great and was very durable, it hit the floor quite a few time, we smoked out of it for about 6 months before he dropped it off a balcony while being an idiot and it broke. great bowl so we ordered a mini one lol
poncho
"PYREX® glass products are made using a tempered soda lime glass composite, as is the vast majority of consumer glass bakeware in the North American marketplace. The Cookware Manufacturers Association considers soda lime an appropriate material for glass bakeware."You should make sure your glass bowl is borosilicate, a different type of glass. Soda lime glass (your cookware) expands 3 times more than borosilicate glass, which means when you heat it up, the molecules move around a whole lot less so there is less chance of any stress being created. This makes the borosilicate harder, and much more resilient. It can still break if you drop it on a hard surface, but it should not just explode into pieces randomly. Jeff_T
I've got a small MNH phunnel that I use almost all the time, its solid and smokes great. I'd say go for it if its a free glass bowl. You can never have to many bowls
