JDHarding
So, I decided today to try adding a little glycerine to my Nakhla. Maybe it'll smoke better with a little extra wetness, right? Plus glycerine should make it smoke more, right?WRONG!!I put some drops of glycerine in my Nakhla Earl Gray, packed it like usual, three coals.. just like I always do it. I got smoke, but it was thin and weak smoke. What gives? Did my glycerine actually kill my Nakhla? I put about 7 or so drops in it, which is around half a teaspoon total, into an overpacked small phunnel bowl. Mixed it in good. Nothing. Smoke was lamer than a lamer. Thoughts on this? Priapus
if you're gunna put glycerine in per head, only put 3 drops in, then mix it up. then pack.i think with 7 drops, its tOO000ooo juiced up, smoke it for a while then i think it should fix itself... but i think the flavour is gunna be killed. a cliche affair
I'm sure someone will correct me if i'm wrong, but I remember reading to only use a few drops per 250g. You MAY have just added way too much? Idk.
Arcane
the only thing i could suggest is that you treated the nakhla w/ glycerine exactly the same as nakhla w/out glycerine.you gotta understand that if you alter a tobacco, whether it be adding glycerine or drying it out, the tobacco will not smoke the same. you may need to change the way you pack it or your heat management since you added more glycerine....i'd assume that the extra glycerine made it less tolerable to heat...but, that's just a wild guess.... While smoking it it still had a strong tea flavor.I should grab some of their coffee next.. I hear it's insane.
