JDHarding
I washed this hose yesterday, and today I'm getting black junk in my mouth from it. What gives? I thought these were washable?
JDHarding
I'm also using a new pipe, though. I know I cleaned it out pretty well, but could it be from the new pipe? Taking the hose out of the hose port, I noticed black stuff all over it too. I scrubbed it out with the hose port brush, but maybe I didn't get all of it? foibled again
Yep, they are completely washable. From what you said about the hose port, it sounds like it's coming from your hookah & not the hose.
redjako
I agree its from the hookah..the first gen Narbishes had bad glue problems (my model) where everything would come apart..so I've taped the S out of the thing and glued it back together, but nothing every came From the hose. The glue never seemed set, it would pull rubberly (a new word!) apart

JDHarding
I guess I need to scrub the hell outta my pipe, then. With the stem scrubber in the hose port!
kdkhookah
I don't feel like scrubbing is the answer. I might be wrong but it seems like that might be rubbing off some of the rubber, maybe creating the black gunk. I've always just used lemon juice and baking soda and a final rinse with water. Zinite
Is the port tip clear? Sometimes if the acrylic is colored it can get gunk on it. I know I had to clean out my Nammor port tips every time.
