Hookie The Hookah
I used to but I quickly got addicted by drinking it daily (sooo much caffeine) and had to stop (my teeth were yellow and I'd be super irritable without drinking it). Additionally, I disagree with the way that John made it in his video. I like to put the coffee in the pot, add water and sugar then bring the pot as close to a boil as possible without actually boiling it. Boiling it will break down the sugar and cardamom (I get the same brand that John had in his video except with cardamom) making it taste extremely strong. f22a4bandit
Yeah, I can definitely see drinking coffee with the hookah turn into more of an addiction. Caffeine and nicotine really go hand in hand.I want to try it out sometime, despite that risk. I'm one of the lucky few that can go cold turkey and stop something when I want or need to.If anyone has any brands to suggest, definitely post them up! McLovin600
caffeine and nicotine is deff addictive lol. I still can't kick my morning coffee+cig and same after lunch (i only have those 2) and i think its because of the combination
twoapplesplease
If I don't get my 8 cups of black coffee and my 50g bowl of nakhla after breakfast you can be sure that I'm gonna be grumpy all day.Nicotine+caffine=The geatest combo ever
JDHarding
Turkish coffee is how it's made, not a certain type of bean. I think it requires a special little pot, which you put the grounds in, then cook the coffee on the stove. It's like cowboy coffee, but stronger. You can make it with any grounds. twoapplesplease
You need to use "turkish grind" Its super fine ground. So unlike "cowboy coffee"you don't get grounds in yer mouth you get Coffee powder.I think it has more to due with the beans you use you need arabica beans and some cardomom.I like making coffee in my old trusty 70's glass pyrex stovetop percilator.Makes super strong coffee.I need to try it with "turkish grind" aribica beans.I normaly just go for the folgers colombian or the Free trade ethiopian beans

twoapplesplease
Awsome thanks NOB.Yea just as I thought "turkish coffee" referes to the small fine grind not the bean.As john says his is Brazilian beans.I'm gonna go get some of those ethiaopian free trade beans I love and put'm threw the Grinder awhile tell there powder.Perfect Vid on that john Looks tasty. twinturboa51
john makes it the right way. cafe najjar is a decent brand but you can make it from any coffee bean. i use starbucks coffee. you can have the coffee ground down wherever you buy it. just have them run it through the machine on the Turkish setting. twice if they let you. the finer the coffee the better. if you want you can add ground cardamom but its not necessary. i also don't add the sugar.
