gunsboy
QUOTE (HookahJohn @ Oct 6 2009, 12:15 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>she made it too light, it was tea colored almost, and i saw when she was making it she used 2 teaspoons, i mentioned that it wouldn't be enough and i was right, anyways, redone, right, and finished, made about 3 cupshahaha, funny that I had this conversation with my wife last night. She is the best cook ever and she makes everything perfect, except tea and coffee.I love "kushari" tea and green mint leafs with my shisha....while I listen to Um Kalthoum.....Brings me back to the good old days when I learned how to smoke. NIGHTS OF BAGHDAD
well i talked to john about this subject and he suggested najjar and after i did some research it turns out that if your gona drink turkish coffee this is the one to be drinking, if it was a shisha it would be nakhla/tangiers..lol so i went out and picked up a 450g's of it with cardamom for $6.29..i got it locally from a middle eastern store by my house..you can get it only for about $5..anyways on the package it says pure brazilian ground coffee arabica 100% and on the back it says made in lebanon..and i also needed a turkish coffee pot..all the ones i saw where really small and i like to drink in big mugs..so i bought a new pot and i also picked up something thats caught my eye many times..its NOON cocoa power to make chocolate milk..not sure why but i really wanted to try this..so here some pics for scale

NIGHTS OF BAGHDAD
it used to taste bad for me has well, but thats because i was doing it wrong..i would mix it and THEN put in sugar and it would taste stale..but after watching john's vid i mixed in the sugar while the water is boiling and then adding the coffee and it was the best cup i ever tasted.. detroitmak
Wallah i like Chai (Tea) Al Wazeh Ceylon for sure... always with Hail (cardamon), depending what i am smoking, i will throw some cin sticks in the kettle and let it steep for a good 10 mins.If i drink Qahwe Arabiya or Arabic Coffee, it was always an Arabic thing first. Najjar is a decent brand... Any arabica coffee you get and ground "turkish" will get you the results, and then have some freshly ground cardamom to compliment. I like its Sadah or Plain most of the time, sometimes sugar, never as much as john tho...Afterward i sit around with my friends and pretend i can reed the finjaan and see the future
