Looking For A Good Hookah Recipe

Recommended Posts

Hi, I'm new to the forum. I occasionally smoke hookah with friends and at partys, and I usually look like a hookah aficionado cause I can blow rings very well. Unfortunately, I really haven't the slightest idea about hookahs or how to make them work. I was just born with a crazy ability to blow Saturn-like rings. I'm going to the hookah store tomorrow to pick up some supplies. I would really appreciate it if someone could tell me what kind of hookah I should buy for under $60, what kind of tobacco as well as coals are the best to get me f@cked, while feeling comfortable when there is smoke in my throat, and how should I prepare my hookah?

Welcome to the forum.

Anyone will tell you on this forum that it isn't so much about the hookah as it is about:
-Coals
-Tobacco
-Hose
-Bowl

For under 60, I would suggest getting a Mya Qt. It will last you a lifetime.

If you are looking for a buzz, Nakhla is a great smoke. For something without a buzz, there is a bunch of shisha you can try. My suggestion is to try some Al Fakher. Mint is a fan favorite on the board.

For preparation, there is a lot to go into as far as packing, coal placement, etc. Check out the New People Faq for a lot of helpful tips.

I agree. The QT will be a great investment if your local store carries it. The only brands of hookah I've dealt with are Romman, Al Waha, Starbuzz, Fusion, Fantasia, Havana and Tangiers. I'd stay away from Havana, but that's my opinion. All of the others I've listed are typically really smooth, and produce a really good amount of smoke. Definitely check out the New People Faq like Momatik suggested. It's a great community here, and you'll be that aficionado your friends call you in no time!

totally off topic but wtf does that mean?

That's a type of drinking game. You take a pull from your hookah, then down as much of your favorite hard liquor as possible before you have to exhale. Then, you spin around 3 times, and kick the guy next to you in the crotch. He comes back 5mins later and you are f@cked[/quote.

There's a 99.999995% chance that your local smoke shop won't have what you need. DO NOT get a shitty colored hookah. Go to www.hookahjohn.com and get this:
http://www.hookahjohn.com/product.sc?produ...mp;categoryId=5 with the Quick Light natural coals. Use "HF13" as the coupon for a discuont.

I live near Clifton, New Jersey. There is a store on Main Street that sells almost everything hookah related. I think its called Pleasure Hookah or Hookah Paradise. Its sure to have whatever any hookah fan needs, and if it doesn't there are like 10 other ones I can go to right on the block.

Hookah Paradise is great! You can pick up everything you need from there.

-Mya QT
-CH Regular Coals
-Nakhla 250g for 6 bucks
-AF 250g for 9

Also, if you don't feel like making your own diffuser (check the DIY section), you can get one from there. I would suggest making/getting one with the QT, or you will probably get water in your hose.
