Okay... can anyone else confirm and clarify this a bit? Perhaps John himself?

He already has when he announced them.

Scroll to the bottom, it's post #479, the second to last post on page 24.

For the record, not all the original Narbishes have glue issues, just like not all Razans and Nammors have/do. We hear about it a lot because whenever someone has a problem they post about it here but not everyone who has a solid Narbish does the same. There is a possibility that the glue may become an issue down the line which is one of the reasons John did get the manufacturer to switch to a better glue. He's also gone through his stock of original Narbishes and separated the ones he found weak joints in but he may not have gotten all of them, which is the case in your situation. Fortunately John stands behind everything he sells, especially his own products, so he does whatever he can to resolve these issues.

Is there anything else you want clarified?

Nah man, that'll do. Lol. I guess I had it all backwards... That's my fault for reading the HookahChat when people were talking about it and believing it all. Thanks for the clarification.

Yes John is the man, i taped mine when it fell apart, but i had to use so much tape to keep it tight and not move around, that the part of the hose that pops into the hose port is so heavy it makes the hookah incredibly tipsy. So i don't use the narbish at all anymore, I only use my homemade vinyl tube hose.

Hopefully ill be able to get a replacement from John if I show him some proof or something. I literally used it 30 sessions before it fell apart.

Hot glue, as I understand it, isn't safe to inhale. I don't think it'll give you cancer or anything, but I wouldn't want it on any part of the hose that air actually passes over.

So you're concerned about air passing over a substance that won't give you cancer as opposed to the the actual smoke that could cause cancer? Anyway they make various forms of hot glue. I've even seen food safe hot glue.

1 out of 12 is pretty much the average I am getting with v1, however, that's not good enough, it's not worth anyones hassle, mine nor the customers. v2 is strong and I have not have 1 return out of 100 or so. v3 will be here by the end of the month and if they don't get it right I will stop the washable hose thing altogether.

Just tell them to do my recommendation.. attach the mouth piece with glue, and wrap both the clear acrylic tips, the part connected to the handles, with that rubber wrap they use. That will deffinately stop leaks. I did the same on mine and there's no leaks whatsoever. I didn't use much glue. I figured the rubber wrap would work good enough. Wrap with rubber, wrap that with tape, then wrap the rope over it. Good, strong, leak-free hose.

the threading around the part that goes into the hose port started to loosen and unraveled the hose one of mine (at the joint between hose and thick bottom handle). the other one has threading unraveling from the fuzzy part up from the part that goes into the hose port. leaks from there too and keeps getting worse.

i really like how these looks so lets hope the company actually puts together a good product for v3.
