antouwan
this is for everyone, but especially for the members here from texas.two places here locally who did some importing and retailing, phoenicia and jerusalem recently increased their prices - BIG TIME.i think phoenicia retailed the nakhla for $7.99 and the AF for 8.99 or 9.99 and jerusalem was about 1 or 2 dollars more per each respective brand. i went to phoenicia to stock up on tobacco and supplies with a couple of buddies of mine and my jaw almost fell out of my face. the AF was marked $23.99/250g and the nakhla was marked $18.99/250g - the kilo cans of nakhla were $79.99.the sign on the wall showed the specific terms of the tax and stated that it would increase by small increments until 2014 or something and then increase by larger increments INDEFINITELY. WTF I HATE STUPID LAWS - WHAT IS THIS, CANADA!? fml.

no longer welcome
it's getting to be like Canada in the US, slowly, state by state, lucky for the consumer you have online options, if this happens in CA alot of places will get hurt, including moi. TexasHookah
Yeah it is pretty ridiculous. They are taxing $1.10 per ounce on net weight. Definitely doing us wrong here in Texas. We will be raising our in store prices as well sometime this week. Just haven't gotten around to it. We buy in a lot larger quantity then Jerusalem and Phoenicia so we still have stock left over from the old price. As of this week we have slowly been getting new shipments so all the prices will be changing for the store in Houston. If you haven't checked out our store come by this week before we raise the pricing at the store. We will still be pricing less then Jerusalem and Phoenicia as always. Lowest prices in Houston!!! seefoodlover
Florida people, beware, some smoke shops will try and scam you. Florida Tax only applies to cigarettes, not pipe tobacco or cigars. Was in St. Augustine the other day, and they were selling 100g starbuzz for $19 as compared to their usual $11. Was just in Ybor City today, and bought some Al Fakher for less than Internet price. Just beware.
