all they are doing is making mya, temsah,mz look just that much better

I agree with you except that MZ are no longer made and there are very few vendors that even have them anymore (john is out) and the few that to have them don't have a very good selection (right now I only know of 2 vendors that still carry them). and I am personally not a fan of the Temsah, ya they may be good quality, but I think they are ugly, and myas are getting more expensive. I am seeing the prices of all hookahs getting higher, KM is just taking advantage of this and over doing it.

I don't ever plan to spend more than $100 on a hookah myself. Well...not unless it the market gets soo bad that you have to pay more than a bill for a hookah that will last. As of now I am assuming mya and mz have good enough quality.

Mya has long had more expensive luxury pipes. I'm thinking that perhaps KM has simply added some with "luxury" price point models. Remember some months ago here on the forum someone was getting advice on a pipe for his girlfiriend and she didn't believe anything costing less than $200 was worth buying? There are a lot of people like that in the world, so maybe KM is just expanding it's market with high end pipes. A sad thing with MZ now out of the picture. Which I happen to think is a damn shame because they're great pipes.

in fact some of those aren't even high end (the 43" ones definitely are i think). i remember smokingmoose sending me a picture of an all brass/copper "butterfly" like 2 years ago (i almost dueced my pants when i saw it and still want to obtain it).

I got one of the tall ones in today. It looks very impressive sitting on my shelf... I'll try to get a smoke a review in tonight or this weekend. First impressions though is that John was right in warning that there are imperfections with KMs. I was a bit disappointed with the bowl holding base... looks good from a distance, but it is actually made from some very thin metal with sloppy welds, and the metal is dented in a few places. The stem was dirty and I'm hoping some metal cleaner will get her shining. The highlight of this hookah is actually the vase... it is actually prettier than I hoped for. And the height of the hookah is really cool.

All in all I'm glad I got it, and as usual, John provided quick shipping and the entire order was error free.
