heres mines after repair..

dont worry you'll get used to wrapping them, it will improve..the first time i had wrapped it it looked similar to yours lol

only problem is all my hoses are ghosting like mad, i was smoking mizo guava and could barely taste it (didnt even taste any of that nice spicy hints from it) i had to smoke out of the hose that came with my AF hookah....i need to grab some lemon juice tomorrow and clean mine up.

updates, found someone to repair all of my left over narbs, v1, that were upon inspection faulty, it's costing me quite a bit but they will be sellable rather than trash, v3, which i have been sent pics of will be on a plane within a few days, i will have to inspect those as pics can only say so much. finally, the folks that will do the fixing on the leftovers i have offered to make me hoses, to my specs, here in the US, so I can better handle QC. I wish I had met them before the v3 purchase, especially since v3 will have a nifty name tag glued on, but either way i am working my arse to make sure none of the bs above is ever an issue again, thanks for the support,
John

Just finished doing my v1 hoses. A few observations, to get the tassels off easily, use a heat gun or a hair dryer, the glue melts pretty easy so don't overheat it too much. I've also used some silicone (could've used some superglue/cyanoacrilate, but I was out), to glue all the gaskets in place (sanded down the inside of the hose/pipe end openings to get a better grip), then used the electrical tape to tape up all the joints and used some rubber adhesive (can't recall the brand) to glue the tassels back in place. Also cut about 2.5" off the hookah port ends.

When people above mentioned that the longest part of the repair was wrapping the hose back up, they weren't kidding, it took me quiet a few tries and a couple of numb fingers to get it nice and tight and the way it looked before disassembly, but at least now it feels very strong and doing it myself I have a peace of mind that there won't be any leaks or breaks.

Thanks to everyone for the tips and to John for the hoses! smile.gif
