warpriest
Guys, I need some assistance. I'm flying home to Texas from Arizona for my winter break. I plan on bringing my hookah w/ some shisha with me. How do I do this? Has anyone had any experience with this situation?
Chreees
Perhaps call and talk to the airlines about their policy on this? I'd hate for one of us to tell you something, you do it, and we be wrong and you get in trouble.
warpriest
I checked TSA and they didn't say anything about a hookah.
Sariél
I had Quick Light coals removed from my checked baggage . Another time, they took my small butane refill canister, but left the (full) butane torch.
thehelios
Try to keep everything on check in. If using carry on, make sure you have no liquids or lighters. I had my MYA mini acrylic, bunch of tobacco, coals, and hoses with me no problem. The guy manning the xray machine checked it but one of the TSA officials noticed it was a hookah and let me go through. Traveled a bunch of times and no problem. ilikemyusername
I personally would call the airline. I would pack my hookah in my checked luggage along with the shisha, not bring any QL coals and no butane canisters. but thats just me.
Genie
I'd mail it home. I'd be too worried about them not packing back in my bag properly when they inspect it.
