just took a closer look at everything

the threads are completely wiped.....it looks like I'm in the market for a new stem wallbash.gif

does anyone know of a stem that'll fit a Cyclone base?.....I'd prefer to get something other than a sahara smoke stem

Don't waste your time with JB Weld unless you plan on re-sculpting the threads. Sahara is sorta junk anyway. The threads from my stem (idk if you are having this problem yet) wore out within a couple of months. I would save up and invest in a MYA. I bought a Mya Diva at a store for $50. You can find some good deals online for 'em too. Seriously though, you'll notice the difference just by picking the thing up.

if you want to try rethreading it, (what do you have to lose, right?) go to the car parts store, and get a helicoil set that fits the threads, and rethread that way.
Yes, jb weld is also capable of taking threads, but if you do that one wrong, you're stuck with no way to undo it.
still, that's worth a try also.
Just my opinion.
