Need Some Advice On An Mz

I finally found an MZ! They cost $60 for the one hose, $70 for a two hose, and $80 for a three hose. I am thinking about going with the two hose. I usually would say a two hose is a waste, as you can only draw off one at a time, but I am getting tired of reminding people to quit hogging those, plus I already have a one hose 34" KM ice that looks very similar to this one, so kinda figure it is kinda pointless to get a one hose.

If I were to order this in a two hose, would it still come with a purge valve? I have never seen a multiple hose hookah with purge, but then again, I really like my purge and would rather not give it up, especially when my smoke gets harsh. Also, does MZ usually put a check valve (ball bearing) in the second hose port or is it just open like KMs? Kinda rather not have to plug up one hose while using the other....

With discount and shipping, the two hose by itself comes out to $62.05, which seems decent to me. Its a 21" by the way. What do you guys think? I am really thinking about pulling the trigger on this today, I am really excited. Stuie...help??? I know you are a hookah guru(especially after IDing that metal MZ on eBay)!! Another reason I am impatient on this is the last MZ I found, I had it in my cart ready to order, and the next day I come back to click submit and someone else snatched it before I could.

Also, what can I expect different between this and a KM? does the downstem on the MZ unscrew? (I'm doubting it) Also, how the hell do they give me an option on the number of hose ports on the same model? It is like Mya where you just use the purge valve port(I don't think so since the hose port looks more like the non removable kind like KM)?

have you had bad experiences with them? honestly for the money mz's kick the shit out of km's ass..FOR THE MONEY..lol but man $60 for that mz is sweet..i cant really help you with the 2 hose and purge question because honestly ive never had a multi hose in front of me..i only smoke alone and i prefer it that way..but ya with km's prices i say screw them mz all the way

btw, i ordered from these guys once about 5-6 months ago and had a good experience with them..

yeah the bad experience was that I bought a Safari. It came to about 56 bucks shipped. I got it on my doorstep, opened it up, looked at it for a second, closed the box up.

Then I was willing to give it 1 more chance based on it's price, so I filled the base with water, and put a Nammor in the hose port. Tipped right over. Dried it and packed it up and payed to ship it back.

The worst part about it was how thin and shitty the metal felt. It just looked like a pussy.

okay I figured this out once and it worked, but takes a bit of planning if you go for the 2 hose.

To make your two hose purge....DIY Purge Valve!

Take a Hose Port grommet.

Drop in a Male Hose Tip.

Drop a Airsoft BB down there.

Small piece of foil over the top of the Hose Grommet, Piece a tape for good measure.

Poke some holes in the foil... BAM! Homemade Purge Valve!

Have one made for my 3 Hose Pharaoh.


Safari is good if it's a traditional base. I have a bohemian base, not a big fan of it.

the MZ is a great pipe, and preforms nearly as well as my KM. it is built like a km, all one piece, no common chamber. mine is very sturdy, it is lighter then my km but, not cheap by any means. i cannot answer your dual hose questions sorry..

Thanks for all the advice. Now I am second guessing buying this hookah after reading Hippos comment. I know what he is talking about with a hose tipping over a hookah. Never had it happen before, but I know what he means. I also know what he means by the metal being cheap and flimsy. I can feel the difference between my KM and my roommates Social Smoke hookah.

Thanks for the advice, but can we lay off Hippo? He is trying to help me and I appreciate it. If he feels MZ is an inferior product, he is entitled to that and I would like to know why (which he explained), not thing wrong with that, I actually appreciate him being honest about it.

Hell, think I am going to have to pay a good 100 or so for a one hose. this one is 62 shipped. so ya, I'm not expecting this thing to be on par with the KM, I just don't want to get it in and have it be a piece of unusable shit. And the reason I am wanting a 2 hose now is that I already have one hose KM ice, no need for another almost identical one, rather get something different, plus I am getting tired of passing the hose, especially with everyone getting colds this time of year.

sorry del backin up my bro lol, and i really dont think the MZ are cheap metal, our oasis is really nice, it smokes great, no tipping issues at all the the metal is not by any means flimsy. our oasis has been through alot and is still kickin

meh, hippomaster is being a bandwagoneer. I love my MZ, its a great pipe. I got the old style nefertiti and I can fit a nammor hose in it just fine. The only time it ever tipped over was when a d-bag buddy of mint knocked it over and the stem smashed onto a big chunk of tufa. Even after that the hose didn't fall out of it. See, some people believe that if it isn't a KM it must not be as cool.

i own a 20" mz safari and i use a nammor with it all the time and it smokes like a champ. it has never tipped over.

I recently sold my MZ it was an old style nefertiti. Never had any problems from it. It definitely isn't as heavy a stem as a KM but it was still a solid pipe and served me quite well. The only reason I sold it was because I had just bought a KM and couldn't justify having 3 hookahs at the moment.
