First Box Of Nakhla

Recommended Posts

Hello friends...

I just went down to a head shop down the street from me and got my first box of Nakhla ever...I think I overpaid though, haha ($3 for 50g?). I hope this lives up to all the hype!

Hookah is clean and ready to go. Bowl is packed. Coal's on the stove.

I'll let you guys know how it goes happy.gif.

P.S. It's strawberry.

Sooo the verdict:

Good, but not the best shisha I've smoked. It was definitely tasty and the smoke was really clean...it had a good flavor and smelled delicious, but the volume of smoke was lacking in comparison to my staple (El Hennawy). That, and it burned a little quicker...and it seemed to be more dry than El Hennawy too when I unwrapped it. If I smoked hookah for the buzz, this shit would have ranked #1...it hit me hard as hell, but I smoke more for the smoke tricks and the fun of smoking =P...the buzz is usually just a bonus.

It was definitely good stuff though...I'll probably get a 250g next time.

Hmm...yeah that is definitely helpful. I don't have the fortune of owning a funnel or vortex bowl...just your standard ceramic, but in the bowl I smoked I packed it like I do with normal shisha and I used two of these [http://tinyurl.com/yl8xc5p] Chinese "Easy-Lite" coals (knockoffs of Japanese Golden Coals). I light them on an electric stove and let them cook until they're pretty much red all over before putting them on the bowl. Errors in practice?

Nak strawberry is one of my absolute favorites. A good suggestion for Nak is to acclimate it as you would Tangiers. I used to just smoke it right out of the jar, but after I found out about acclimation, it made the flavor even better. It seems kind of silly to acclimate 50g though, but I think it would still be worth it. I think that might be one thing that puts people off of Nakhla is that they don't acclimate it.

welcome to nakhla country...
I'm not all that great with links so I'll just say nakhla needs to be packed tighter than most other forms of shisha tobacco.

You'll find lots of great info using the search button.

I tried searching a few different things..."egyptian bowl," "egyptian bowl tutorial," "nakhla in an egyptian bowl," and so on and so forth...I have yet to find said tutorial =P.

And mostly my question just pertains to how hot I should get the coal before putting it on the bowl.
