Tyler
Had some issues early life but really made himself into a role model, all a bit too late though -- tragic.

rhineholt
The reason I ask is because I was watching his show "DJ AM gone too far" and I thought it was really inspiring. He got over his addiction to NHT and then helped out other people get over it too. It's really moving...And horrible that he had to die from an addiction to prescription drugs...=/

cotsi95
He was an amazing dj and was very creative. He went from being addicted to nht, overcoming that. Surviving a plane crash (being 1 of 2 survivors, him and travis barker). Dealing with that must of been so hard. He just had to much hurt in his life the time before his death. His girlfriend had just broke up with him as well. I love DJ AM i think he was one of the best djs of all time. Listen to TRAVSDJAM coachella its AMAZING! After th plane crash, he was really reluctant to take any drugs to ease the pain at all because he knew that past users have a higher chance of getting addicted. So basically he toughed it out as long as he could but obviously, he had to get on them eventually... Burns and what not.He had it hard. Loosing his friends and his girlfriend breaking up with him.You kinda have to look past how and why he died. Look at what he was doing before he died to help other people and how he helped so many people get past their addictions. He saved many lives. cotsi95
I just watched the first 4 episodes of Gone To Far, his show where he visits young people and helps them through treatment. Its amazing the effect he had on people that he helped. He literally saved their lives. If you can sit there and say he was of no value then you should watch the show. It will change your mind. Amazing guy and may he RIP.

cotsi95
I am and will always be a HUGE DJ AM fan, he was an inspiration to lead the right path and that you can overcome anything in life. Its just sad that life beat him down to the extent that it did, between the plane crash, law suits and his gf. He will be missed by many

waterboi
I think he was a great inspiration to many but people that havent been through what he has wouldnt understand. I am not saying what he did was good in any way, but people that are addicts are addicts till the day they die struggling with what they have to try everyday to beat. He worked his way to be a great DJ and sadly his addition took his life. He was and will always been known as a great DJ. I am DJ and his mixes and music are great and he was a great and talented individual. He will be missed by many and not by some as well. I myself will always be a fan of his work as a DJ.
