JDHarding
I just got this pipe in the mail. It's a genuine Mya, deffinately. My phunnel fits just fine on it. Smoking it now and it looks great on my desktop. My only problem is.. I don't know the 'sweet spot' for the water level. Anyone know? I think I put too much in there. ih303
I generally fill it to about half an inch above the bottom of the stem. One thing about the QT - you don't want to fill it too much or you'll get water in your hose.

JDHarding
I'm guessing most Mya QT owners put a different tray on this, huh? The supplied tray is cute and all, but completely worthless. Can't ash coals, can't keep coals in the tray.. too small.

Certainly, you can't just rake off the coals into the tray like you can on a, egyptian. But if you just watch what you're doing, you won't have any problems.Just make sure you put it on a rug or a table you don't care too much for to handle the inevitable coal drop. Zinite
Definitely use a bigger tray:
Chreees
Try half an inch above the stem end. Worked great when I had mine. Yeah, could definitely use a bigger tray. I know you have bigger hookahs, JD. Just use a tray from one of those.
Stuie
Quarter of an inch just below the crown of the Base where it turns inward. Also I use the tray... on all my hookahs as ash collectors. I have gotten into the habit of using my coal carrier to ash my coals.
JDHarding
I'm using the tray I use with my other Mya.. it's not a Mya tray, but the hole on it is small enough that I can just screw it onto the pipe with the Mya bowl adapter. That way it doesn't jossle around while using it. And it's a nice big tray too. I tried the KM trays, but whoo.. talk about overkill.
Jeff_T
I usually fill it up to about 1/2" above the bottom of the downstem, like others have said. I throw my KM tray on top of the QT tray and its works great, also helps to fit the windcover and phunnel bowl.
Tom1
I use a tray from my broken MYA acrylic, the only problem is that it wont fit in the cage then.

likespaceships
the tray is ok when you are using one of the small mya bowls but is pretty useless when using a phunnel
JDHarding
It seems having a small diffuser on it allows me to fill the water up to the base where it starts to curve inwards.. the diffuser keeps the water from jumping into the hoseport and down my hose. It also makes for a cooler, smoother smoke.
JDHarding
Shit, man.. I'm loving this pipe.. with the water so high, and the diffuser on there, it's a little harder to pull.. but the flavor is INTENSE. I mean it tastes like I just drank some of the juice! Smoking AF2 Double Apple.. it's incredible stuff in this pipe.

JDHarding
One thing I don't like about the QT.. the purge valve. I replaced the ball bearing with a plastic BB and it gets stuck after every stinkin use. I may have to replace the valve with my other Mya's valve.
