joytron
I have been sick for the past week but luckily got a couple sessions in before it started to get bad. Mind you these are my initials impressions only. In most aspects Del's hoses are similiar to the washables i have used on the market. They inpart no taste amd have an effortless draw, but thats where the comparisons end. Del's handles are heavy duty, I have no fear of stepping on the handle as I dont think a car running it over would do much damage. The handle is removable which allows for easy cleaning and to keep the thread from getting wet. The handle comes in at a whopping 26.5 inces which i find perfect as about half the time i smoke hookah I am studying and now i can do it hands free. I actually really like the clear hose, and am a fan of watching the smoke go through it. Another positive note is the fact that the hose length is customizable, just go down to lowes and get some at around 40 cents a foot, I am really curious to mess with the lengths. Now the issues, My first issue is the shape of the tip that goes into the hose port is an issue with the mya hose port. The wide to quickly narrowing port makes it difficult to keep the hose in, and out of the 5 grommets i have i was lucky to have one that fit. This is not a problem with my KM as most work especially the chinese grommets. The other issue is with hose flexibility. The clear hose is extremely stiff, even after the hot bath but not a huge issue if you usually smoke solo. It fell out a few times when there were three of us. I tihnk if i could find flexible hose it would also reduce the tension on the port. So to sum it up, This hose generally kicks asswill put up a review when i get a few more uses
delSol_si
Tried it out tonight. Works great, no leaks at all. I wasn't able to get any pics or a vid though . the only thing constrictive about it is the razan acrylic tip. It was a little more constrictive than the other hoses, so I took the Razan tip off and it solved the problem. Of course, I put the tip back on though. Not a really big difference, but it was there. That also gave me confidence that my homemade hoses are less constrictive than Razan hoses, except this one that was a rebuild of a razan.
foibled again
Good to hear it smokes well. If you do develop a leak in the quick connect, just replace the two internal o-rings. There should be one on the male end tip and one on the internal piston of the female end. This is assuming you're using the all brass ones and not a cheaper one with the plastic internals.
