Saving The Bowl For Another Session...

Recommended Posts

How many of you save the bowl after smoking one session with one round of coals to use again on another day? I was told this is fine. Also, how long can I save the bowl for? I'm thinking about smoking on Tuesday before school, then saving that same shisha in the bowl to smoke on Thursday before work. I usually smoke on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. If I could get two uses out of the same shisha, that'd be awesome. Save me money (make my shisha go twice as far, slashing my costs in half), and effort (having to pack the bowl and whatnot). This is not because I'm lazy. I'm wanting to do this to save money. So can I get two sessions out of the same shisha without compromising smoke or flavor? Also, how would I preserve the shisha? Just clearwrap over the foil?

Thanks,
Chris

i dont like to save it..once im done i clean out the bowl, if you want to save money and shisha, get a smaller bowl..or if there is no size smaller and your using a phunnel mod it up to use less shisha

And how would one mod a small phunnel to use less shisha?

I've been able to get it to work pretty consistently but the issue is this: juices will slowly make their way to the bottom of the bowl over time. Overall I plan on not doing this anymore simply because the medium to large lack of flavor and the fact that the bowl takes ~20 minutes to actually get going. My vote goes to the scalli mod...

^^ Right here. Although if you do plan on re-using the shisha than you are going to want to mix it up in the bowl to get the juices all around the bowl instead of on the bottom. Since you dident smoke the whole thing there should be a lot of untouched shisha on the underside of the charred side.

Yeah, you can't see the pics too well in the link above. There's some vids on youtube that explain what to do, but I can't listen to them at work right now. Going to watch them later on. Search "Tealight Scalli Mod" and you'll find several vids.

I see one guy in the thread made one out of a 1/2 copper cap found at a hardware store. Where would I find such cap? Home Depot? Which section?

best thing to do is print it out and take it with you, just show it to the employee's they will know where it is

if you are only going to smoke for a half hour or so, just use an egyptian. They work better then people give them credit for.

Eh, I love how the small phunnel has never let me down. Egyptians have repeatedly.

I got the copper cap at Home Depot in the plumbing section. $0.53 plus tax. I'll try bending it up a bit and see how it fits...

Will report back later.

i'd take the time to learn how to use an egyptian...i started off using mainly the phunnel bowl and loved it. however, to avoid the hassles of specific packing and a lot of wasted tobacco...i was deadset on getting good with my egyptian...only took a few of sessions, but it was well worth the effort...
