Tangiers Acclimating Issues.

Recommended Posts

I just recently bought 3 250g's of Tangiers: Strawberry, Lime, and Kashmir Peach. The peach was the only one that didn't need to acclimate very much. I immediately left all 3 of the shisha's opened in their container for at least 4 hours. The peach is the only one thats smoke able and even smells like peach. But strawberry and lime smell exactly the same. I decided to spread the strawberry out on tin foil and let sit. Its been sitting now, for almost 6 hours, and still no avail. What am I doing wrong? It hasn't rained recently, I'm in AZ. I don't get it and I'm getting very frustrated. This isn't the first Tangier's I've had, I've had maraschino cherry and Lime before, both were fine and I'm doing now what I did last time.

there's a thread called "Acclimation Issues with Sonthert" or something similar. In there, Eric mentions a new acclimation method....leaving it to air out for 4 hours, sealing it up for 20. try and give that a shot...

Where did you get them. Lime hasn't been made for a while...it could be they are stinking OLD! I got a very old bag of Cinnamon once... not good.

Yeah they're old but I've bought them from my local shop before too and they smoked fine. They just smell werid, not like the flavor at all. The packages had no problems with the seals either. Oh and its regular strawberry.
Oh and thanks for the link. I'm gonna check it out.
