boludo
I have been reading this forum for a while now (always as a guest) and today decided it was time to join in. I have been smoking hookah since late 2002, and although I do not consider myself an expert, I do think I know enough to provide an educated opinion. I know must people in this forum do not like Starbuzz that much, but I do actually enjoy a few of their flavor, like Citrus Mint (not Mist). Anyway, I have smoke at least 6-7 250 tins of Citrus Mint by now, but the latest one looked a little different. The flavor is still the same, but there is not red dye in the tobacco anymore, plus this is the first time (and it has happen in the 4 bowls I have smoked from this tin) that Starbuzz has given me a buzz. Does anyone know if Starbuzz has stopped using dyes in their tobacco? Or is this an unusual tin?
Stuie
Don't smoke SB, but they probably didn't stop using dye but switched from Red to Yellow. A lot more manufacturers are doing that... thank you! Red Dye is a common allergy, as is usually a leading cause in headaches with people with that allergy. NIGHTS OF BAGHDAD
i too dont smoke enough starbuzz to notice a difference in it, but i just wanted to welcome you to the forum and when you get a minute read over our forum rules to help make your stay with us fun and educational http://www.hookahforum.com/index.php?act=boardrules
LIQUIDGSR
Yeah I just bought a tin of the citrus mint and love it and it seems different also. My friend ended up getting a buzz off of it the other day and I was like what the heck, off of starbuzz?

Giant Ninja Robot
let it be known that I smoke SB and in fact have been enjoying it quite a bit lately. I smoke mostly Nkhla, AF, and SB now and since I found a shop that sells SB for 16 bucks a 250 I'll be buying more.It IS frustrating that some flavors have decent longevity and others have an incredibly FAST dissipation of flavor, it just takes trial and error to find the good ones.I just tried pink and code 69 and they are both AWESOME. Code 69 is now one of my all time favorite flavors ever!(welcome to the forum)(havent noticed a major difference in cut or anything and don't really think dye is a big deal)

Giant Ninja Robot
It was at the hookah meet so I wasn't paying TOO much attention but it reminded me of.....i dunno. the color red, gummy candy of some sort with a citrusy pineapple type of kick.I'll have to buy some and review it properly. Tyler
Code 69 is a cola cherry sangria flavor. And yes, some of their newer batches are a bit differnt in cut as well.

cotsi95
Ya i noticed that they changed there cut recently. It was on a 250 of Tequila Sunrise my friend bought, I was noticeably cut finer and there wasnt as much dye in it. I was more of an orange rather then a red. Sonthert
Red dye is weaker than orange dye, if I remember correctly, so you need more red dye to make red than orange dye to make orange. It might seem like less dye, since there would be less to achieve the desired color. As my favorite color is orange, I approve.
