Lighting Coconarras On An Open Flame

Recommended Posts

Is it effective?

I'm expecting my order anytime now, but I can't find a single coil oven on the cheap.

I used to light my (not so) instant light Swiftlites on a grate with a firelighter underneath and pop a windcover over the setup. Worked pretty well.

The fire lighters last about 7-10 minutes, but I can just drop some more in if they die.

You guys reckon it'll work?

Making one myself right now.

wth did he turn on in the background? sounds like either a gas powered electrical generator or an air compressor. its soooo loud.

edit: if that device has to be that loud to light coals... well i'd rather spend the $10 on a coil burner which is nice and quiet. Edited by chinamon

He's using an old small air compressor.

But I got it working great with an aquarium pump. MUCH Quieter.
