New Tangiers Phunnels

Recommended Posts

I got one of the new Black/Blue/Green small Tang phunnels, and noticed that the center hole's rim is too high. The foil gets sucked down onto it no matter how tightly I wrap it. Anyone else getting this problem too? My first generation black/blue small phunnel didn't have this problem.

Overpack it by 10g's......LOL

Heh.. I don't like getting the tobacco too close to the foil. It lasts longer that way. Except maybe Tang.. it's so wet that it doesn't matter. But Nak doesn't like to get surface burned.

I could use the glass scalli mod I have.

I got a new small and with no problems.

Try something like this with paper/binder clips.

Why is it so shallow? And what's with the center hole?

You know, I never realized this until you said something, but i wonder if that phunnel is a chinese or havana rather than a Tangiers...I say that because the inner phunnel ridge is a bit flat, where most tangiers are a well defined, non-flat ridge.

i'd say its a knock off or some old version of the phunnel that i've never seen before...

Oh I dunno.  It's not my phunnel.  I found it on a google image search just to show how to use a paper clip if you don't want to or can't cut the phunnel down.  I would never buy another non-tangiers phunnel after that p.o.s. chinese one i bought last year.
