Sin on Sunday Posted October 20, 2009 Share Posted October 20, 2009 Hey all.I am brand new to the boards, seems to be a pretty cool place! First things first I have a question. I live in a college town and want to try to start up my own hookah lounge. Before I get too seriously into it, I need to know a few things. My town does not have much if any open commercial real estate downtown near the bars (where I would want the lounge) so I was wondering; is it legal to convert a home into a hookah lounge? Are there permits I need or can I just run a business out of a house without needing to go through the government? Hookah bars can be tricky since ther wares are sometimes controversial within a community. There will inevitably be many hoops you will have to jump through, but it will be worth it if you plan on staying open for any amount of time. Good luck!
