You Don't Need An Oyster Fork....

Recommended Posts

Sorry for the drama, but I was sirring up the remains of a jar of nak DA that I had in a tupperware as usual. I was stirring it as usual when I saw something that looked like the "wing" of a dragonfly and I was seriously thinking that it was just glossy shisha that tore differently and was about to put it in my bowl. Then I thought something's not right, it's not shisha, it was a piece of thin sharp glass! No I'm not going to blame anyone, Nakhla, my distributor, my vendor (if I had one) it just happened, no big deal but if I was stirring this batch with my hands I would have been pissed. The odd thing is I think I may have at least once in the last couple of weeks, stirred it with my hands. Maybe....someone placed it in my stash after it was opened, hmmmm. The odd thing is (and not to turn this into business) I have been getting a few complaints about the "jar" coming leaking or with a broken seal. The thing is I get them that way and they are coming straight from Egypt to a warehouse in LA to my car. I'm blaming Nakhla for that at the very least. Shit, my coals are ready, gtg!

i was going to joke at that as well, better you than me;P

Lol... I can just imagine him sneaking into the Nakhla factory in the dead of night, dressed in all black, and placing a single shard of glass into a batch of tobacco. He then seals it up, and places a 'Mail To: Hookah John" sticker on it, before he runs away cackling.

Is it possible the lip of the jar was damaged and that was the source of the leak and glass shard? I have never seen a nak jar, just a thought.

I have 2 jars of Nak DA sitting on a shelf staring at me and they are most defiantly glass...

Agreed. I've seen Nakhla in a box, plastic tub, and glass jar. So it's not such a far stretch to think that perhaps in the production process a jar shattered and they attempted to get all the glass pieces out. Thinking they had, they packaged it.

If anyone has ever shattered anything glass there's always that one piece you don't see or that went further than you thought.

Who knows they may have been playing baseball with some of the jars wink.gif

not good. Glad I smoke tangiers!

Although once I broke one of the pharaoh's plastic containers and the shards ended up in the shisha. Dident really want to end up with plastic pieces in my lungs so I had to throw it away.

And btw, whats up with the mouth tips you can get? If you look inside them they have fiberglass all inside them. Ive never used them before but a friend of mine pointed it out.

I found a paint chip about the size of a quarter in my last batch of Tropicana.. I just blew it off as not so important. I seem to remember telling Mattarios about when it happened..

Glad I didnt end up smokin it smile.gif

The el basha jars are plastic all others are glass...

I'm guessing that the small peice of glass was in the bottom of the jar from the glass factory and then the nakhla workers missed it and put the plastic wraped tobacco on top of it...And then when you dumped it into the tupperwere container it went in with it....Just my guess...

Hmmm This is very odd I've never found anything in any of my nakhla....
