The Pinnacle Of Relaxation Has Been Reached.

Recommended Posts

I ran out of nakhla today (yay!), so I hit up the deli to get some new shisha. I went with my favorite (El Hennawy Peach), but before I left I had a little chat with my Pakistani friend Sam who manages the place. We just talked about smoking hookah...and he explained to me his favorite way to do it. He eats dinner, packs a bowl, makes some black tea with sugar, and watches a good movie. I've had a particularly demanding week of school so far, so I was more than up for that.

I got home, ate a damn good gyro, packed my funnel with the peach extremely densely, boiled some water, and made Syrian black tea that Sam gave me to try. When the tea and coals were done I got the hookah rolling and laid down on my comfy couch with a pillow and blanket and turned on Into the Wild.

I didn't get the mind-crushing buzz of nakhla, and the bowl lasted for almost the duration of the entire film with delicious peach flavors galore, perfectly complemented by the hot tea. It was peaceful and relaxing and flat out perfect.

I only share in the hopes that you guys will try this sometime, with peace and relaxation in mind. It was rejuvenating.

Sounds like an awesome evening man glad you enjoyed it so much.

My perfect evening is pretty close to the same but there are variations of it.

1) a good dinner (awesome sushi does the trick) or one of my specialties I make myself

2) take my time clean the hookah and pack a great bowl of a favorite flavor (f-line orange soda currently)

This is where it varies

3) either a few close friends, good convo/music, or a great movie with friends
- if it's by myself then a great movie/show/or call of duty

4) some Rasberry Green tea with honey stirred in and if I feel like something sweet, sugar cubes to put between my teeth while drinking the tea.

Brand new here, but not entirelly new to the Hookah scene. Mushrat is my main buddy. I find it most enjoyable to relax among friends, share a hookah, and some wine..Duplin County schuppernongs.. fruity, sweet and light make a fine complement to any fruity shisha.

For me dude, relaxing is kicking it with the budies, little bit of jacuzzi time, back to the lounge, light up a flavor of something fruity, maybe some candles, slow jazz or buddha bar, mint tea, a nice cozy blanket and just chilllllllll.
Thing is, I have to have done something that makes me need to relax otherwise it just doesnt work...

why would you be exited to run out of nakhla, what flavor were you smoking?

Stawberry and two apples. It's not the flavors that were that bad...except two apples tasted like licorice...it was the buzz. I don't smoke hookah for the buzz. I just want nice flavors and big clouds.
