Washable Vs. Non-washable Hoses?

Recommended Posts

that's pretty much it...washables don't use metal coils/parts so they can't rust...non-washable hoses have a metal coil in the hose, i think to add structure...

although, the washables tend to be a wider gauge than some of the non-washables (except KMs)...definitely wider than a lot of Mya and Syrian hoses...

it really depends on what you think is better....if you like the idea of knowing that you're smoking out of a "clean" hose...then get the washable.

if it doesn't really matter to you, then pick the one you think looks the nicest...

ummm...well, if you're a new hookah smoker...i'd actually suggest a washable. just in case you don't get the water level right and end up sucking up water into your hose.

also sometimes flavors "ghost", get stuck, in the hose and they are a bitch to get out with a non-washable. washables eliminate flavor ghosting

good point didnt think about that, but then again ever try getting nakhla coffee out of any hose, it doesnt happen too easily lol

i think for strong flavors like mint and coffee its better to use those disposable healthy hoses..i myself refuse to smoke any mint from my hoses..its a bytch to get rid of..

washable hose with beer does it for me...guaranteed to work...always has for me anyway

I think we are forgetting to mention that a lot of washable hoses use a type of hot glue to hold the end in place. If you wash the hose with hot water, this loosens the ends and eventually they come off. Not a huge big deal, that some 5 minute epoxy cant fix. But still needs to be mentioned..

That is all..
