clickhea Posted October 22, 2009 Share Posted October 22, 2009 i always have problems with fedex no matter what or when i order.i ordered a hookah from HJ and john was fantastic shipping it out that exact same day (as usual)but fedex takes 3 years to deliver it... on top of that its 7:30pm and i still have no package which is suppose to be arriving today. They dispatched it from LA on the 21... :b I live in Denmark, so delivery takes a while.. And I'm still crossing my fingers that it wont end up in customs. That's going to be expensive! Kidding of course but yea shipping is always going to be a gamble there is so much that can go wrong some of which could be the shipping companies fault and some not at all just make sure you get the package insured. So I stick to vendors who ship Fed Ex. If I lived in a neighborhood where UPS was the best, I'd shop from UPS shipping vendors. no longer welcome Posted October 23, 2009 Share Posted October 23, 2009 thx clicki really like fedex, they are timely and reliable, i use them for 400 shipments per month and have less than 1 package a month arrive late, good odds. the thing i don't like is how they arrive sometimes when i see pics. i agree w rani, depends on the driver, but also, it goes from one driver, to a hub, sorted thru a ton of belts, onto a semi, resorted at another hib, then placed on a truck for delivery. it's really an awesome system, i worked for ups for a whopping 4 days when in college, couldn't handle the sunrise shift. it's a pretty amazing system. I order stuff from John all the time and it arrives like clock work about as quick as can be expected. On the other hand, I absolutely hate USPS and won't order from anywhere who will only use them.Btw John, my gorgeous blue/gold vase arrived today and I couldn't be happier. I leave a note saying here's my signature, put it behind the bushes, take the note. Because they always show up right after my lunch break. THE ASSHOLE WAS IN FRONT OF MY HOUSE WHERE THE NUMBER IS CLEARLY MARKED SQUARELY ABOVE THE GARAGE "703" IN HIGHLY CONTRASTING LETTERS. HE WAS IN FRONT OF MY HOUSE, BACKED UP HIS TRUCK TO MY NEIGHBOR'S HOUSE (701) AND ATTEMPTED A SIGNATURE CONFIRMATION DELIVERY TO THEIR HOUSE (NO ONE WAS HOME) AND THEN LEFT.the killer was that half of the stuff in the box wasn't even for me, it was for my buddy who just got back from a 3 month visit from mexico and was moving into his new apartment, it was a housewarming gift/something decent for me to smoke while i'm at his place. what a sham.
