I'm having trouble deciding what kind of hookah to get as mine is a pos. Anyone have a suggestion? Any help would be appreciated.

need some more input buddy, whats your budget? do you want a more modern look of a mya or a old school Egyptian look of a km or syrian?..also in your budget do you want coals and shisha or only a hookah? 1 hose or multihose?

Khalil Mamoon(ranked one of the best right now), Magdy Zidan(great quality up there like Khalil Mamoon, but half the price and soon to not exist), Syrian(beautiful hand craftsmanship in these, just astounding), Mya(perfection because they are machine made, a bit higher price for the nicer models)

I would like to keep it under $200 which i see most hookahs do run under that. I've been looking at both modern and the older looking ones so if you have a suggestion on either that would help. I would prefer 2-3 hoses but i guess thats not needed but would be nice. I know you can add hoses to them if you want. Coals would be nice, i want to probably try a good shisha like Tangiers so i would probably be ordering that seperate.

sweet, well the 2-3 hoses right there we would eliminate km..you'll want to go with a mya or syrian because you have the option to add hoses with the adapter..so your looking for 2 hoses minimum im going to guess..here what i would go with..i choose these because they look great..will smoke great..and due to there price..leaves you with a nice chunk to buy some coals which i suggest johns ch coals or coco naras..but you may also wana give al fakhers coals a try alot of people here like them and for the money i dont think they bad from everything i read..also you mentioned tangiers so you know what your doing when it comes to which shisha to buy..maybe try some nakhla has well..and also maybe want to pick up 1 or 2 washable hoses..may claims there hoses are washable but they are not so dont do it or you will get rust pieaces in your mouth when you take hits..anyways..if i had a $200 budget which is a awsome budget and needed a minimum 2 hose hookah these are my choices..

the best coals to use are john CH coals..now we call the ch cause we are not allowed to type the whole word because its a illegal substance these are one of the best coals to use..also another great coal to use is the coco nara's also a natural coal and these do burner longer then the ch coals..also theres al fakher coals..now these are getting more recognition latly and alot of people are starting to swear by them..so you may or may not want to give them a try..but in all honesty i dont see any bad coals in these 3..here are the links to them..by the way you will need a coal burner for these..you can get one for $10-$15 i got mines from cvs pharmacy

also make sure you get a tangiers phunnel bowl for the tangiers..a small is more then enough..holds about 30g of shisha and cant last up to 3 hours long..sometimes longer..

I like that you can make it smaller if you want so you can take it places without it taking up alot of room.

i think those have common chambers. i mean it really isn't TOO big of a deal, but it would really kill your purge - if you're into that sort of thing (it's a reason for me to buy certain pipes over others).

hope you like it and it all works out though! make sure to pick up a bigger hose(s) as i'm sure the ones that come with it are total crap.

don't forget to pick up a tangiers phunnel, too!

I've picked up everything extra i need, a washable hose, phunnel, tangiers, some ch coals. I hope it smokes well I guess i will see.
