Is There A Huge Difference Between Hookahs?

So im using a Top Mark hookah, and never used an other hookah, but nowadays as KM is breaking into the hungarian market im hearing that those top mark hookahs are shit, and km's are the best.
Is really there a huge difference? if y in what? clouds? draw? flavor?

i dont know much about top mark although it looks very nice..but km's are awsome man..in looks,perfomance,build quality they are hard to beat..in my opinion km's are the best..some will argue that mya's or syrians are the best..its all a matter of prefrence..but if you have the means too then i highly suggest picking up a km..

+1. I'd say its more in the bowl, packing, heat management and hose that makes a hookah smoke good. KM are just built decent and have wide downstems and big gauge hoses so the draw is easy, making bigger clouds easier

very true, but for those non-expert hookah smokers like most of us are when we start out a km is very helpful because it makes it easier to get the best out of your session..where has a shitty hookah needs to be tweaked and shit

I've had a great smoke from garbage hookahs. but the consistency and fiddle-factor is allot higher. Not to mention they usually end up so wrapped with cello-tape in an attempt to seal the leaks that they look like something from a bad mummy movie.

That said, the crappiest hookah I ever owned was a Mya. the chrome plate in the upper shaft was, well, non-existent. The bore corroded at will, nice green funk any time it sat for any length of time. Price isn't always an indicator of quality.

as long as you have a decent pipe that isn't leaking and have a decent hose that isn't mitsuba/mya gauge you should be good.

i just bought a lebanese style pipe a week ago for 20 bucks. i slapped a nammor hose on it and the clouds seriously rivaled that of my kms. about 95% of how the whole session goes depends greatly on what tobacco you're using, how you've packed it and what hose you have on the pipe (seriously).

if you're in budapest you should (from what i heard) have a pretty good selection of shops and what not to go to. the site you linked has a decent selection of nakhla, AF, and el-hennawy (haven't tried it but quite a few people here recommend it).

anyway, to answer your question "Is There A Huge Difference Between Hookahs?" ultimately yes, there is a huge difference between hookahs, something like a pumpkin vs a km - there is a huge difference. even between less extreme examples there are differences. however, despite these huge differences, can you get them all to perform somewhat well and similarly? yes.

don't worry about not having a km or any other pipe with a big name. if you want one, and can get one in hungary for, say, no more than 11500 forint, go for it, if they wanna charge you any more than that, skip on one, you aren't missing the world, by any means.

El-hennawy is a very shit brand dont try it out. it has no juice, week flavor, little smoke.
And yep the site has a good selection. Although the prices.. In the USA a 250 AF is around 10 bucks. Here in Hungary it is $22, and it is about $27-28 if u r ordering it from an online vendor.
In addition you said no more than 11500 forint well actually thats $62 u cant cat a km in america for $62 neither. The only shop who sells km, they sell km trimetal for $140 . Anyway instead im spending that money for shisha
