godfatha
Was it approved in NJ or was it just proposed. I didn't see anything about it being approved on the link. Also looks like you can still possess the flavored tobacco.

Sonthert
Speechless. The cigarette manufacturers are in on this, I'd bet a quarter.
Bondal929
I live in northeastern NJ, a I must just say that I had no idea this law even existed. It is not enforced at all. All of the gas stations, supermarkets, and 7-11's still all sell flavored tobacco. Hookah tobacco is also still around. Dont worry about the law. It just plain silly
Buford
That's a senate bill, not a current law. Current bill status: 2/9/2006 Introduced in the Senate, Referred to Senate Health, Human Services and Senior Citizens Committee5/4/2006 Reported from Senate Committee with Amendments, 2nd Reading There are plenty of bills that get introduced in state legislatures that never see the light of day. This one just got reported out of committee with amendments - it's not dead, being reported, but there's a long way to go yet. I've been in Virginia legislative sessions before (was a candidate myself for the legislature last year), and a lot can happen to a bill once it comes up on the agenda. I'm not sure how much the NJ legislative process mirrors that of VA, but most legislative bodies in the US use somewhat similar methods.Still, I have very little faith in the NJ legislature, so who knows. surfpico
NJ sucks anyways. It's not a real state. It's NY's garbage dump. Really, in my opinion, Staten Island should be turned over to NJ - who needs it?What I'm trying to get at is...f**k NJ.

SafeSearch
NJ's laws are getting so fu***ing ridiculous now its not even funny. It used to be only illegal to sell tobacco to minors, and now its illegal to have possesion or use it under the age of 19. Also, I dont think that that flavored tobacco law passed, as theirs a huge flavored tobacco and hookah store in a few towns over.@bondal: Where u at in NJ?
