Giant Ninja Robot
First season playing fantasy basketball, I never thought I'd get roped into it but here I am. Draft is tonight, I've got my papers in order but am still nervous that with 10 teams I'll end up with a shitty team.My list is pretty thorough though. I think. Any advice, thoughts? How's YOUR fantasy basketball experience going?

Giant Ninja Robot
Roster ended up pretty good. I feel I'm in the top 3 or so teams.Backcourt: Dwayne Wade, Deron Williams, Rip Hamilton, Jameer Nelson, Raymond Felton, and (eek) Delonte WestFrontcourt: David West, Shawn Marion, LaMarcus Aldridge, Joakim Noah, Marc Gasol, Blake Griffin, Kevin Love (injured for 6-8 weeks), Udonis Haslem, Ben Wallace, and Michael BeasleyNot a bad start. *sigh*
I tried to do fantasy basketball last year with a few friends. Was involved the first few weeks, but to keep up with your line up each game is quite time consuming. My advice is just keep up on who's playing when so you have as much of your line up playing as possible each day. Good luck though.
Giant Ninja Robot
Thanks for that advice. I never even thought about that facet of it lol. I just dropped a player because I had 3 Heat players so that took 3 options from me when they weren't scheduled. Then I saved my lineups for the next week so all I have to do is tweak them a little each day.
thevoiceofzeke
God I fucking hate the NBA.NCAA is somewhat tolerable, but basketball as a sport just pisses me the hell off. Just like baseball, it's a star sport, not a team sport.Football and soccer are the only way to go.Thank the nonexistent sky wizard for the NFL. Giant Ninja Robot
Not true. There are teams that exemplify teamwork. The Orlando Magic were one last year, the Spurs over the last decade, the Pistons (go team!) of the last 8 or so years, even teams with legit superstars are more team oriented of late. Giant Ninja Robot
QUOTE (FSUReligionMan @ Oct 27 2009, 07:19 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Draft the entire Cleavland Cavs and you'll be fineNopers! You want as many starters as possible and you want to spread the teams out so you have more players playing on every night. More good players playing more minutes equals more and better stats. And Boston beat them last night.Anyhow, I dropped Haslem yesterday which turned out to be a great decision because not only do I not want 3 players from the same team but Beasley is now starting over him. I picked up Yi Jianlian to replace him which is good because he's starting for the Nets this year and might finally live up to the hype this season. He had a couple games preseason that were close to 20 and 10.This is fun!
