r8rfan121
Does anybody know if those "smoke eaters" work? The types they have in alot of cigar stores. I've been thinking of picking one up, just a cheaper one, but I've heard they're expensive. Just wanted to know if anybody had tried one of these before, I dont want to waste my money on something that won't help.

McLovin600
not sure what a smoke eater is but my friend has an air purifier (small tower). totally works
mjdx88
If this is just for hookah smoke dont waste your time or money. I smoke all the time in my room and my roommate is hypersensitive to smoke, even if its from some burnt food. He can never tell when I smoke hookah. K1024
i believe that the air purifiers that arent smoke specific work really well...though i dont own one so i cant say for sure, there have been several topics about how well they work.dont know anything about "smoke eaters"
r8rfan121
Smoke eater was maybe the brand, its the one my cigar guy uses, but he spent like 500 on it. And i'm testing smoking in my room without it, we'll see if anyone notices, i got the door closed and the window open so hopefully it all goes well, I dont notice hookah smoke but i smoke cigs and cigars as well so i'm not a good candidate for a smell test. I'll have to look at a cheapy from walmart, i think i saw one for like 20 bucks
alexander
Its not really necessary to use an air purifier for hookah, I smoke in my apartment all the time with the window open and it never smells. The only thing that leaves any kind of scent is when I light up coals.

chinamon
any air purifier that has activated carbon within the filter will be a "smoke eater". the efficiency of the unit just comes down to how much you want to spend. i have a cheap honeywell that i bought for like $50 and it worked fine while my parents were away.
