TexasHookah
Interesting... never even knew about Black and Gum Mastic flavors. Cigar flavor we actually carry. There's already Bubble Gum and Spearmint Gum wonder what Gum Mastic flavor is?
Hippo_Master
Soft black is so great. But a kilo of it?? Ugh. It's not as good as Desi so there's no way I could smoke a kilo, but a nce 250 would be perfect. Anyone who hasn't tried soft black should definitely get their hands on some. Gum mastic is a very unique flavor that's really popular in the mid east. If you have a local Arab market or deli around they probably carry chicklets with Arab writing on them and a box that has red and green stripes rather than the solid yellow. It's my favorite gum actually, but something of an acquired tasteThe current gum flavor is just like spearmint gum. What does Arabic gum taste like?Cough Syrup. Stay the hell away from this swill. I still want to try AF softblack, as I understand that its a little sweeter/spicer than plain DM.

You cant just take one flavor and call it cigar flavor, it doesnt work like that. Theres so many different blends of cigars that give each one its own taste. That and its a cigar, its something that should be smoked as a cigar, not in a hookah. Idk, its a bit different when you have smoked a real cigar. Cigar flavored hookah tobacco is not good for anyone. Desi and soft back are MUCH closer to actual cigar smoking, well pipe smoking rather.
ih303
A quick google search yielded some interesting information about gum mastic (mahs-TEEKH).http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mastichttp://greekfood.about.com/od/glossary/g/gummastic.htmThe flavor is said to be 1/4 minty, 1/4 clovelike, and 1/2 gensingy.I'm going to guess this flavor is somewhat reminiscent of cardomom. Although some of the testimonials of this flavor used words like "woody" and "piney" as descriptives. Very interesting in deed. I'll have to keep my eye out for this one. Sonthert
Yeah, John's got a pretty sweet pipeline to Al Fakher. His cousin is a big player for the US distributor. Tone's a great guy, too. If you ever make it over to Al Fakher (Sierra), talk to Tony. John was saying Soft Black (which is a great name, by the way ) comes only in Kg formats. I'd like to try it and see how it matches up against Tangiers unflavored...

ilikemyusername
soft black is extremely good, for one or two bowls. Pipe was the same way.its a smooth complex oddball (mis)flavor, maybe I'll give it another shot after I forget about it.some flavors just don't sit with me well, take the original shisha nakhla DA, I smoked it, liked it and hadn't purchased it for 8 years easily until a few months ago. Soft black is one of those one off "hey look what I got" meh but delicious as long as you don't intend to smoke it much flavors, but maybe thats just me!
